Effective Cellulite Treatment: 5 Proven Ways To Lose Cellulite

Any person who has seen improvement with areas affected by cellulite knows that a lot of effective cellulite treatment starts with choosing the right treatment method. However, this part can be quite confusing for many, as there are a lot of choices out there! Here is some info on five of the best cellulite treatment options today to help you decide.

VelaShape Cellulite Treatment

VelaShape is a device that is FDA-approved and boasts the ability to reduce cellulite problems (while firming the treated areas) with as few as four treatments, which is impressive indeed. VelaShape smooths and reshapes problem areas by using a combination of infrared light energy, bipolar radio frequency, vacuum effects and a mechanical massage feature. This treatment is available in clinics and laser centers all over, and you can search for one close by on their website.

Accent Laser Cellulite Treatment

Another method available through your doctor is the Accent Laser, which is a non-invasive treatment which also uses radio frequency to help tighten up your skin. However, the Accent Laser is the only treatment method which uses both unipolar and bipolar radio frequency as part of its treatment, which allows it to heat two layers of tissue.

VelaSmooth Cellulite Treatment

Your local clinic may also offer VelaSmooth, which tackles the problem of cellulite by using bipolar radio frequency as well as electrical-optical synergy to increase oxygen in the skin cells that are treated. By heating these areas thusly, effective cellulite treatment is gained because the amount of stored energy decreases the sizes of fat chambers in the areas that are targeted. Smaller areas, such as your neck and arms, can be treated, and the method is also helpful with muscle aches and pains.

SmoothShapes Cellulite Treatment

English: Skin layers

SmoothShapes is available through many providers worldwide as a method of effective cellulite treatment, too. SmoothShapes uses what is referred to as Photomology technology for its non-invasive treatments. Laser wavelengths are used in conjunction with contoured rollers and a slight vacuum effect in order to liquefy fat cells and make them smaller and uniform in shape. Meanwhile, collagen is also rejuvenated in treatment areas, and better circulation is promoted in the areas as well.

Endermologie Cellulite Treatment

Endermologie actually includes a couple of different non-invasive treatments- Lipomassage and Liftmassage. Lipomassage is most applicable to the problem of cellulite build-up, and entails both the smoothing and the slimming down of fat cells. This greatly improves the appearance of your skin by minimizing the fat cells and also just giving you much smoother skin over your problem areas. The cellular stimulation provided by Endermologie technology is the secret, and you can find these treatments all over the world, as well.

The best part of all of these effective cellulite treatment options is that they are all non-invasive. While they will vary in cost and availability according to your area and other factors, they are all alike in that they are quick treatments that won't require extensive recovery or put you at risk for a lot of annoying side effects or other issues. Only you can decide which of these is best for you, but they are all great treatment methods!

Stop Stressing - Building Your Support Team

One of the most difficult facts about building strong habits is that so much of it lies directly on our shoulders. We have to exercise the willpower to reduce the influence of stress in our lives; we have to make the choices that will help us feel better at the end of the day. However, many of us focus so much on this challenge that we forget that there are other people in our lives willing to help us, if we just let them.

There are many ways that we can allow others to help and encourage us in our efforts. The ultimate responsibility may come down on our shoulders, but that doesn't mean we're islands that have to stand entirely on our own. Families, friends, and oddly enough even entire strangers can be an amazing resource in our efforts to de-stress our lives. Here, we focus on some of the ways we can build a strong support group as we endeavor to kick the stress habit.

Step 1 - Don't Be Embarrassed

There is no shame at all in asking for help with a problem. Houses are built by large teams, cars are designed by groups, and town councils usually have more than one member. A big enough project will benefit from having outside help, so there's no harm in asking for a little of it. After all, wouldn't you feel honored and pleased if your friends came to you for your help and advice?

As you decide who you want to ask for help, take the following habit building step if you feel embarrassed or worried about asking for help. Remind yourself of something you've done to help someone else and recognize that this is no different. Affirm that it's not a weakness to ask for help with something important. Do this every time you need to ask for help, and in time it will be part of the healthy habit of seeking out others' support.

Step 2 - Start Close

Easy steps are the best way to build a new, strong habit. Having to bend and wrack yourself to bring a new element into your life is a surefire way to get discouraged, so it's best to start where you feel comfortable. For the first member of your support group, choose someone you already trust with things you need help with. A friend you're used to talking to or a family member you confide in regularly is a great choice because the connection will feel natural. This will help the habit grow naturally, instead of being forced into your life.

Step 3 - Rely on Experience

Again, there's no sense in making more work for yourself than necessary. The goal is to reduce stress, not increase it! When picking out your stress support team, consider asking for help from someone who has dealt with stress themselves, or may even be dealing with it now. Their insights will give you a fresh angle on things, and you will both be able to share that sense of camaraderie that comes with mutual understanding of a problem.

Step 4 - Keep it Light, and Be Flexible

Remember that your support group isn't your life-instructor. They're friends you've chosen to help you as you deal with your problem, not to deal with it for you. Don't feel you have to talk to them nonstop about everything. Instead, set up a time to talk once or twice a week. This will give you time to build up things to talk about, so the conversations can be more varied and dynamic, but will also be frequent enough not to leave you hanging when needed.

As you speak to your support friends, remember to keep the conversation flexible as well. If you need to talk to them about things that are stressing you and worrying you, do so. Getting it out can help matters, and let you talk through to solutions. On the other hand, sometimes the best therapy is just a friendly conversation about the newest movie or a great book you've both read. Talk about what feels natural, and most relaxing for you, instead of feeling you have to focus on talking points.

Step 5 - Help Your Team Grow

Numbers aren't everything, and bigger may not always be better, but you want your support group to grow beyond an initial one or two people. Different people have different experiences that you can draw upon, and having an assortment of confidantes who can help you out is of greater benefit than relying solely on one person.

Consider adding a new link in your support chain each week for the next two months. Sixty days is the upper limit of a good habit building timeline, so by the time you've gathered these eight helpers around you, you'll be very used to seeking out their advice and the whole process will feel very second nature. And once you've acquired these habits, you will have an even stronger network of friends to form a lifelong safety net against stress.. Good luck, and healthy habits to you.

If you are like most people, your face will make you look older before anything else does, and probably before you would like it to! If this is the case, face wrinkle treatment may be something that you have already thought about in the past. However, there are a number of different ways to tackle the problem, all with their own separate pros and cons. Here, we will focus on the anti aging serums that you may have heard about recently.

You will want your anti aging serum of choice to include Vitamins A, B, C and D. These vitamins will help to keep your skin nice and firm, so that you can fight the effects of aging. Face wrinkle treatment is also about the prevention of future wrinkles, sagging skin and other problems, after all.

When applying anti aging serums, make sure to use upward motions to discourage sagging, and you should usually apply the serum a couple of times daily for best results. Of course, your particular serum may advise differently, and it's always best to follow the given instructions to the letter. You can also supplement your anti aging serum of choice with anti wrinkle cream, lotions and other helpful items to really enjoy great results at a much quicker pace than otherwise.

Face wrinkle treatment is really about using a multiple pronged approach. You can do this by not only using anti aging serums, but also by using simple facial exercises, anti wrinkle creams, and many other approaches, too. You can also help out your own cause by making sure to take good care of yourself. If you do not smoke, get plenty of rest and have a healthy diet and lifestyle, you will not age as quickly as others who do not.

Losing Weight and Building Confidence

Losing Weight

Having confidence in your goal is important. It's tough to stick to something we don't believe we can do, after all. We've talked in other articles about how easy it is to get frustrated, and about controlling negative thoughts in our effort to build up good and healthy habits. We've also talked about rewards and incentives, but we haven't really spoken about the best means of confidence boosting and building a habit of strong thinking itself.

Just like all of our other behaviors, confidence also is a habit. It's a way of thinking that, if we cultivate it properly, will become automatic. People with more confidence try more things, take more risks and have more experiences overall than those of us without it. So let's look at a few ways we can cultivate that kind of confidence for ourselves.

Confidence Booster 1 - Knowing Your Abilities

My Weight Loss Coach
My Weight Loss Coach (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Honesty is the most important part of having a proper confidence habit. There are things we definitely can do, and things we definitely cannot. We can believe all we want that eating while standing up "doesn't count," but the calories still go in! Similarly, just because we're afraid that we can't do something doesn't necessarily mean it's true. We might be convinced that we'll drown the moment we go into a pool, but stepping into the water will prove we're wrong.

To that end, sit down with yourself and go over your goals and steps you've broken your diet plan down into. Look at each one, and come up with two different things that might get in your way of achieving them. Then immediately write down one way you know you can circumvent each potential problem. If it's a friend who insists on super whippy frothy coffee desserts, consider asking them if you can meet at a different venue while you're working on your weight loss.

Do this every single day. Pick out a specific goal, one obstacle and a resolution to that obstacle every morning when you get started. This will get your mind in the habit of thinking about your abilities and what you can do with them, rather than the problems and confidence-crushing hindrances that slow you down. Make sure you do it at the same time every morning to strengthen the habit-building potential of it.

Confidence Booster 2 - Review Your Successes

Nothing in the world boosts confidence like success. Verbal affirmations of your self worth are a good step, but they're infinitely more powerful when you have something to reflect on when you make them. Equally, successes become more meaningful when rewarded with congratulations, yet often we are the ones least inclined to congratulate ourselves. Stop withholding well-deserved praise from yourself and start acknowledging what you've done right.

Whenever you take a positive step toward your goal, whether that's refusing the large portion for the small one or successfully exercising the "wait 20 minutes" option during a snack craving, compliment yourself for it. Whether aloud or in the privacy of your thoughts, praise yourself for a job well done.

At the end of the day, review all the successes you made. You've probably already gone over the mistakes, so those don't need retreading. Instead, focus on each little victory and take pride in it, knowing that it helped you one step along your way.

Confidence Booster 3 - Set Goals and Hit Them Again

Repetition and routine are the best methods of solidifying a good, powerful habit that will help when losing weight. We've discussed setting goals, and complimenting yourself for achieving them, so now let's talk about repeating them. After all, what's more impressive - hitting the bull's eye, or hitting it 10 times?

To that end, take some time when you wake up to remember the successes from yesterday. After pausing to compliment yourself again for them, affirm that you're going to take the same step today. You did it once, after all; it's entirely within your grasp to do it again. If you think you can, go a step further and affirm an expansion to the goal as well.

This pattern will help you build a habit of consistently seeing your accomplishments as something that you can do and have done, and make you want to do them again. Then, as you get comfortable hitting the mark, you'll naturally want to expand it, hitting a higher goal, until it becomes the one you meet every day.

Confidence Booster 4 - Review the Plan

An interesting study recently showed that people who focus only on their end goal don't tend to succeed as much as those who focus on the goal and the steps in between. Yes, we all want to get to a place where we feel better, and fit into a nicer set of clothes, but if we choose to focus only on the little swimsuit, we're going to inevitably look at ourselves and think, "How will I ever..."

Remember that you have a plan. You're not trying to make a leap; you've got many small steps in between that you're going to take. You don't have to lose fifty pounds today; you just have to replace your usual afternoon candy bar with a healthy sandwich, or a pack of low-salt nuts. You can take that step - that's easy! By reviewing the plan, and focusing both on the intermediate steps AND the goal, you make the goal seem that much more approachable, and you will find your confidence soaring.

Four Nutrients For Healthy Eyes

We live in a visual world. Traffic signals, art, our family's faces--our eyes are constantly taking in input that we use to live and enjoy our lives. Sight is incredibly important and, just like any other function of the body, is largely dependant upon proper nutrition. However, it also may be a part of our nutrition that we don't actively think about supporting.

Healthy eyesight can be affected by a number of maladies, including glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. While not every one of these is completely understood, each of them is at least partially affected by nutrition. Proper consumption of vitamins can help control or alleviate the symptoms of these common conditions. Here, we discuss four key nutrients that can help bolster eye health.

1. Vitamin A

Vitamin A is the first and most immediately important nutrient to consider when discussing an eyes-healthy diet. Even a moderate deficiency in vitamin A intake can cause night blindness, which manifests as a difficulty perceiving details in low light conditions. Greater deficiencies cause greater visual defects in fairly short order. This is a definite hazard for anyone driving at night, making this vitamin a must.

Fortunately, vitamin A is also very easy to include in your diet, as there are a number of foods very rich in this nutrient. Liver, carrots, broccoli leaf, sweet potatoes, spinach and even butter all have high concentrations of Vitamin A. Fruits such as mangos, papayas, and cantaloupe tend to have lower concentrations, but the vitamin is still present so don't count these sources out.

2. Vitamin C

Vitamin C is also an important nutrient that helps maintain the body's immune system, and your eyes can be a typical place to acquire a casual-contact infection. In addition, some studies suggest that vitamin C may play a role in screening out damaging UV rays and delaying the development of macular degeneration and glaucoma.

The classic source of vitamin C remains citrus fruit such as oranges and lemons, but surprisingly these are not the most concentrated sources. Red pepper, kiwi, acerola and Cacadu plums can have more then fifty times the amount of vitamin C in the average orange. In short, it's very easy to meet your required vitamin C quota, and you may actually be getting it from some surprising sources you hadn't yet considered.

3. Vitamin E

Vitamin E is important because it maintains the health of the eyes' mucous membranes. When eyes dry out, they begin to suffer surface damage. Keeping the eyes lubricated is therefore very important, and vitamin E is a natural way to take care of it without resorting to eye drops.

As with the other nutrients we've discussed, vitamin E is easily accessible through a number of foods, some of which you may already be familiar with. Grains and nuts can be strong sources, particularly through whole grain breads, hazelnuts and almonds. Asparagus, avocado, and eggs also tend to have good quantities of vitamin E.

4. Lutien

An important non-vitamin nutrient for healthy eyes is Lutein. Lutein has been directly linked to the amount of pigmentation in the human eye in several important studies. High levels of pigmentation have been shown to decrease the chance of age-related macular degeneration, a leading cause of blindness.

For people looking to increase their Lutein intake, the primary foods to consider are vegetables. Kale, turnip greens, romaine lettuce, corn, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts all have high levels of Lutein, as do kiwifruit.

The Overlap Factor

Obviously, people aren't going to rearrange their entire diet just to take advantage of the benefits these nutrients have on eye health. Complete overhauls are jarring and sometimes expensive, so it's better to look for places that overlap, providing several nutrient benefits at once.

For example, broccoli is a source of both Lutein and vitamin A. One food takes care of two concerns at once, minimizing any changes. Whole grain breads provide many benefits, such as fiber, in addition to their vitamin E content.

Important Considerations

These elements all have been observed to have some effect on eyesight and visual health, however as always many of these studies are still ongoing. An important Lutein study concluded that more research will need to be done to fully understand all of its effects, even though the study did demonstrate a link between Lutein intake and improved visual health.

Some people, knowing that they struggle with managing the foods they eat, choose to rely on multivitamins and vitamin supplements to make up the difference. There's nothing wrong with this if done properly, but some vitamins have been known to develop toxicity if taken in too large doses. Vitamin A in particular can be very dangerous if taken past the recommended limits.

In short, remember to always consult a dietary professional such as a nutritionist or dietician before making any major changes to your diet. Ask them about the pros and cons of the choices you want to make, and ask for alternatives that they recommend before making any changes yourself. Healthy diet can protect your eyesight, and it is important to consult with professionals in order to get the best results.
