Finding the best face mask for your skin

Finding the best face mask can do wonders for your skin, but when it comes to all the different formulas, there are out there some go the extra mile (and some dont).

So how do you choose the best products for your skin?  Perhaps one if the first things to do is to check the ingredients list for different types of face masks. In fact, if you have dry skin and want a mask which deep cleanses, moisturises, and is specific for your age group, do a Google Search with those keywords to suit what you are looking for.

Here are a few tips to help you find the perfect product for you.

Firstly, as a general rule, its best to avoid added parabens as many can be irritating on certain skin types, and even if they don't  cause your complexion to flare up, parabens do not actually benefit the skin. A lot of skincare products nowadays in fact leave out parabens as one of their ingredients as a general rule.

Secondly, the ingredients list runs in order of the quantity in the products formula. For example, if aloe vera (often listed as aloe barbadensis leaf juice) is the first ingredient listed on the label of your soothing face mask, you know it has a very high quantity in the masks formula. If its the last ingredient on the list, you know it contains a low quantity of aloe vera. So keep an eye out for the key ingredients and whereabouts they sit on your face masks label.

Skincare products and beauty face masks are made for all skin types.  You will find these listed without having to search through the tiny listed ingredients on the labels on the back of the products.

For example, you can buy face masks for deep cleansing, closing pores, dry skin, oily skin, combination skin, soothing irritated skin, for blackheads and just for beautifying and moisturizing skin

In fact there is a whole list of different face masks you can choose for your skin to buy from your local chemist or beauty shop

Once you follow a set beauty routine you may find your choice of face mask changes from week to week and month to month

For example you may just want a face mask which relaxes and moisturizes your tired and dull complexion and some of these are made with a cloth that you place of your face for a 5 to 10 minutes.

Or you may find a honey based mask which is nice and creamy to put on your skin which really moisturizes and brightens the complexion and removes the dead skin cells.

You may prefer something that is deep cleansing and choose a clay or mineral mask such as a dead sea mineral mask which really deep cleanses and deep down into the skin layers to heal and protect your skin from further damage
