Finding the best face mask for your skin

Finding the best face mask can do wonders for your skin, but when it comes to all the different formulas, there are out there some go the extra mile (and some dont).

So how do you choose the best products for your skin? Perhaps one if the first things to do is to check the ingredients list for different types of face masks. In fact, if you have dry skin and want a mask which deep cleanses, moisturises, and is specific for your age group, do a Google Search with those keywords to suit what you are looking for.

Here are a few tips to help you find the perfect product for you.

Firstly, as a general rule, its best to avoid added parabens as many can be irritating on certain skin types, and even if they don't cause your complexion to flare up, parabens do not actually benefit the skin. A lot of skincare products nowadays in fact leave out parabens as one of their ingredients as a general rule.

Secondly, the ingredients list runs in order of the quantity in the products formula. For example, if aloe vera (often listed as aloe barbadensis leaf juice) is the first ingredient listed on the label of your soothing face mask, you know it has a very high quantity in the masks formula. If its the last ingredient on the list, you know it contains a low quantity of aloe vera. So keep an eye out for the key ingredients and whereabouts they sit on your face masks label.

Skincare products and beauty face masks are made for all skin types. You will find these listed without having to search through the tiny listed ingredients on the labels on the back of the products.

For example, you can buy face masks for deep cleansing, closing pores, dry skin, oily skin, combination skin, soothing irritated skin, for blackheads and just for beautifying and moisturizing skin

In fact there is a whole list of different face masks you can choose for your skin to buy from your local chemist or beauty shop

Once you follow a set beauty routine you may find your choice of face mask changes from week to week and month to month

For example you may just want a face mask which relaxes and moisturizes your tired and dull complexion and some of these are made with a cloth that you place of your face for a 5 to 10 minutes.

Or you may find a honey based mask which is nice and creamy to put on your skin which really moisturizes and brightens the complexion and removes the dead skin cells.

You may prefer something that is deep cleansing and choose a clay or mineral mask such as a dead sea mineral mask which really deep cleanses and deep down into the skin layers to heal and protect your skin from further damage

Try Microdermabrasion For Flawless Skin

The Holiday Season is soon starting and you will want to look your best. Read this article on Microdermabrasion facial treatments. It's a chemical peel which you apply like a mask and helps the skin repair and heal, removing dead skin cells and outer layers. After a few treatments your skin will feel refreshed and look glowing, with less pores and uneven skin tone. High Quality Microdermabrasion Treatments

High Quality Microdermabrasion Treatments
By Beverley Joy
One of the more recent and popular skin care techniques is microdermabrasion. This technique is like having an instant facelift and is a wonderful alternative to the more invasive and costlier chemical peels, plastic surgery and Botox. As opposed to opting for cosmetic surgery, more and more people including men are trying microdermabrasion. This technique comprises of tiny rough grains that buff away the skins surface layer. However, before one tries to understand this procedure one should have a sound knowledge of how the skin works. The skin is made of the epidermis and dermis of which the epidermis is the top layer of the skin that is exposed to all kinds of elements. The epidermis is basically dead skin cells that form a layer over other cells that are busy maturing.
The top most layer of the skin is the stratum corneum that acts as a barrier between the lower skin layers and the outside environment. This layer is where fine wrinkles, blemishes and skin imperfections occur. When one applies lotions to the skin, only part of the moisture penetrates to the lower layer. Microdermabrasion treatments are non surgical and rejuvenate and freshen the facial skin and take place at the stratum corneum level. This is a less aggressive approach as opposed to dermabrasion as the beauty therapist uses an abrasive instrument that gently sands the skin, removing uneven and thicker outer layers. There are two different types of treatments; one is using a diamond tipped wand and the other a handheld device.
Microdermabrasion is used to treat sun damage and discolouration, to lessen the appearance of wrinkle and fine lines and treat light scarring as well as other skin conditions. This technique helps the collagen which is a protein in the skin to thicken which leaves one with a much younger looking complexion. As we age, collagen production lessens which results in uneven and lose skin. This procedure is suitable for people with mild acne, superficial acne scars, sallow or dull skin, pick marks and acne discoloration. People that have deep acne scars may have to have a series of treatments or opt for surgical dermabrasion or laser resurfacing.
There is no specific sex or age restriction, and children over the age of twelve up to adults aged 70 can have this procedure done. However, people over the age of 70 may experience problems such as skin abrasions or bruising. Children that are younger than twelve can have treatments, although it is recommended that it be done under the supervision of a plastic surgeon or dermatologist.

The benefits of natural skin care

Five Benefits of Using Natural Skincare Products Five Benefits of Using Natural Skincare Products
By Brandon Merkl
Do you really know what you are applying to your skin when you apply skin care products? You may be surprised to know what kind of harm you may be doing to your system by using chemicals on the skin instead of organic products like coconut oil or almond oil.
Your skin is porous, this means anything you place on your skin, including chemicals is going straight through to your blood stream. You may be unwittingly poisoning yourself for beauty. There is hope though; you can use natural skin care products that will only enhance your health and your beauty.
Five benefits to using healthy skin care products.
Environmentally Safe: Using natural skin care products have benefits that outweigh your health and well-being. It has a lasting beneficial effect on the planet. We are learning more and more about how deadly the chemicals are in some of these products; not only for us, but for the environment. They are carried into the water table along with people's drug residue and a host of other things. It is a great way to love the planet you live on to use less chemicals.
No Side Effects: Drugs aren't the only thing with side-effects; your skin can become irritated and inflamed if you are sensitive to those chemicals. You could also have allergic reactions to the chemicals as well. This should be a red-flag that there is something wrong. You won't have a reaction to say almond oil or coconut oil unless you are allergic to the food itself.
No Headaches from Disguised Chemicals: Perfumes are used to disguise the chemicals used in the synthetic skin care product. They actually clash and mix to bombard your nose with a myriad of chemicals. This develops headaches in a lot of the population without their awareness of the cause.
Those Pesky Parabens: Natural skin care products are parabens- free. This is a preservative that extends shelf-life and will also mimic the body's natural hormonal system. This means it can make your endocrine system go haywire. This you don't need because it can cause conditions you will have to have treated with yet more chemicals in the future.
What goes on must go in: Women are the population in real danger from the application of makeup; skin care and hair care products as they enter the blood stream and poisons them. Also it is much better for children to use natural products on their skin.
